Wifite2

Wifite2 is a Python script for auditing wireless networks, automating various attacks to retrieve network passwords.

Introduction

Wifite2

Wifite2 is a re-write of the popular wifite tool, designed for auditing wireless networks. It automates the process of running various wireless security tools to retrieve network passwords, eliminating the need to memorize complex command arguments.

Key features include:

  • Automated Attacks: Runs multiple attacks, including WPS Pixie-Dust, WPS PIN brute-force, WPA handshake capture, and PMKID hash capture.
  • Handshake Validation: Validates captured handshakes using tshark, cowpatty, and aircrack-ng.
  • WEP Attacks: Supports replay, chopchop, fragmentation, and other WEP attacks.
  • Hidden AP Decloaking: Automatically decloaks hidden access points.
  • 5GHz Support: Supports 5GHz networks with compatible wireless cards.
  • Cracked Password Storage: Stores cracked passwords and handshakes with relevant information.
  • Wordlist Cracking: Simplifies cracking handshakes or PMKID hashes using wordlists.
  • Educational Verbosity: Offers verbose output to show executed commands for debugging and learning.

Wifite2 is primarily designed for Kali Linux and ParrotSec but also supports NetHunter (Android) with specific kernel requirements. It targets security professionals, penetration testers, and network administrators who need to audit wireless network security.
