Submit offensive security resources to HackDB directly from Reddit.

HackDB Bot is a community-driven tool that lets Reddit users submit red teaming, penetration testing, and ethical hacking resources to HackDB, the ultimate directory for offensive security.

When a link is submitted through the bot, it is sent to HackDB as a pending submission under the hackdb_bot submitter account, then reviewed by the HackDB team before it can go live.

🔧 What it does

Reddit users can submit links by:

  • Sending a direct message with add https://example.com/tool-name

  • Mentioning u/hackdb_bot in a comment with u/hackdb_bot add https://example.com/tool-name

The bot:

  • Reads new Reddit messages and mentions

  • Extracts the submitted URL

  • Sends it to HackDB for intake

  • Queues it for review and enrichment

If the submission is accepted by the bot, it replies on Reddit to confirm the item was received and is pending approval. After the resource goes live, it updates its Reddit reply with the live HackDB link.

🛡️ Moderation & Review

All submissions go through a review process before they are published on HackDB.

We review for:

  • Duplicates- Broken links

  • Non-offensive security content

  • Overall quality and relevance

Accepted submissions will still remain pending until they are reviewed and approved by the HackDB team.
